This Pinwheel Car Seat Canopy/Stroller quilt was not on my original to-sew-for-Stitch list, but the way it’s coming together I wonder if it is going to end up being one of my favorites. I guess that sometimes fabric really does speak to you and urge you to find a use. Those stars called to me from the first time I saw them, and they really are the star of the show (groan…I know).
I’ve made good progress, finally finishing the quilt top today. I set myself a deadline and booked time on the longarm at Quilter’s Way for tomorrow morning, which was just the little push I needed. The prairie points took a fair amount of time to press, place, and pin, but I’m so glad I took the time to include them. They really are quite darling.

Prairie points pinned and basted. Ready for the final border!
I had to stitch pretty slowly to get straight seams in those outer borders. Lots of layers of fabric! But, oh, I’m madly in love with this project. It’s going to be a little tricky on the longarm, so hopefully I don’t ruin it during that process.
I mean, really! How can you not love this sweetness?
Next time I share this on the blog, it should be finished! Yay!
Linking up to Freshly Pieced W.i.P Wednesday.

This is so cute! I love yellow and gray together. One of these days, I’ll have to make a quilt with them. I have a nephew coming in a few months ~ maybe that’d be a good time 🙂 and yes – the prairie points are an excellent addition! Happy quilting!
Adorable!!! So sunny it’ll always make you smile:-)
I love the colors, the quilt looks great! I also love Pinwheels, they are fun to make.
